Please note, I've already bought the case. It's the Thermaltake Mid-tower V9 Black Edition.

Anyway, yeah. I'm looking for a decent builds that's good for medium gaming and I guess simple animating/modeling job.

BF3 - 50-55 FPS not recording everything is Ultra. The guy has 8GB of RAM vs your 12GB, but that won't make a huge difference.

Dirt 3 - ~55 FPS not recording, high/ultra settings, the guy also has 8GB of RAM.

Ah didn't notice, then yeah, his build is pretty much the same. Get the SSD and HDD combination however, that stuff boosts everything up.

I stick with the stock cooler since it does a decent job at cooling it when you keep it stock.

Pretty good 700 dollar build. Shits on my pre-built dell.

Time for 1 - 2 years of saving up for that 1.2k build

ty for saving the situation. I was not prepared for another mental breakdown while explaining to him that AMD cpus are shit for gaming whichever way you look at it and why would you get a 7850 for a 700 dollar build wtf. Only thing I would say is don't get that motherboard. Get an asus one. Maybe find a cheaper 7950 so you don't have to go too much over buget for a better board. I know unimproved will say gigabyte will be ok and yeah they will but if you need one thing to last in a computer is the motherboard, so get a good one.

Uhh, it's ASRock. Which I choose because I have 3 of them, never had any trouble. And they're still updating their H61 board with the latest UEFI.

500W PSU. That's the minimum recommended for that card. Dunno, should work.

He wanted medium gaming but hardcore gaming for 700 sounds good too.

That's for the china PSU's that can't take 250 on the PSU line.

i5 = 100 + gpu = 250 + hdd, board and such = 50 = 400 + 50w safezone = 450 min

No, the difference between an i5 and AMD is very small, and the i5 has way better single core performance.

An SSD can always be added, but a Caviar Black won't kill you either.

700 is his budget. You went over it with the i5 and you had to remove the SSD, optical drive and RAM. But you did get a 7950 in there so yeah, your build is pretty good.

I'd take the 8350 over the i5 though.
