>24 hour livestreams
no.
What will the winners get though?
A cool hat?
Robux?
A kiss from john?
I suggest looking into the Ludum Dare before making frivilous comments and assumptions. And this will be a third part event hosted and participated in by the players. The only kind of moderation is for cheating such as copy/pasting scripts.
Any sort of prizes would be either compiled together by the hosts, r donated by Roblox /if/ they care enough to sponsor it. And that's generous compared to the Ludum. All they get is a pat on the back and bragging rights as the winner until next time.
It's hella competitive, and when I say 24 hours, I mean
twenty four fucking hours.
You start with nothing, and are given 24 hours to build the most complex/creative working game youcan. Notch, the creator of Minecraft, has participated numerous times. Contestants take full advantage of the time, staying up the whole 24 hours for some of them. That's why it would span a week, so there's a day and a half or so for recuperation after a round. The recording is so viewers can see progress and hear/see the contestants' commentary.
And also:
At the beginning of each round, contestants are required to start over from scratch with a new project.
