Bought it. Played it for 45 minutes. Wasn't obvious how to make progress/what to do. Recruited some guys. Tried to raid caravan. Got ass kicked. Quit.

I know the post post is old but.

The game had no direct story but to make your own. To recruit you go to taverns and talk to people. They can and most likely supply missions. Kings or dukes may also supply missions at castles.
