Storyline:
The world is in danger. The only way you can stop it is to enter a space race. If you win, you will earn the technology to save the Earth, or you may use the materials you earn to destroy the world. Only you can stop the world from ending, the world is in your hands.
How it works:
The player spawns, they have a GUI where they can customize their character, like in Apocalypse Rising. Once they're done, they can customize their car, example, color, model, etc. Once they're finished they're teleported to the beginning of a race track in their car. Once there are five or more people at the beginning of the race track and they all press the GUI that says "Ready", the race can begin. The race is held in the year 2105 in the middle of space, so there is no gravity and extra technology. That means you'll be racing in the middle of space with no gravity. All the cars will go the same speed, but you can shoot them to slow them down. The lasers will have a cooldown so that you can't use them too much. Once you win a race, The 4th and 5th place lose and have to wait until the next round. 3rd 2nd and 1st place will be teleported to the semi-finals, which is a new race. It goes the same as how the first round did. Once the race is over, the 3rd place has to wait until next round and 1st and 2nd place duel in the finals. Whoever wins gets the most credits, which can be used to upgrade your car accessories.
Notes:
There will only be one or two laser upgrades otherwise cars can become too powerful
Credits will mostly be used on upgrading how your car looks
There will be data persistence for your credits
Credits will not deplete when you buy something from the shop
I probably won't be building this because I do not have the programming knowledge, but it would be really cool to see someone else build it.
