So I bought a PQI flash drive
« on: May 05, 2013, 12:54:04 pm »

Just wondering if anyone has experience with PQi?

I've seen RAM and stuff from this company at stores like Fry's so the company is not just some random Chinese company

This flash drive,
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B009MJE8N0/ref=dra_a_cs_mr_hn_it_P1400_1000?tag=dradis-20

Read on Newegg that it failed after 2 months. Multiple people. I'll take my chances since it's only 20 bucks.

EDIT: Shit, cancelled that thing and got myself a Corsair Voyager Slider thing, much better reviews. I was getting buyers remorse with that PQi.

yeah, I've got RAM from them. It's 6 years old DDR2 RAM and it still works.

and the Voyager Slider looks cooler,

also resistant to 40g's which is pretty cool, not like I drop my flash drive often.

Received the flash drive today. After a whole week and 2 days...

So far looks great, has a decent heft to it and the rubberized front end is just awesome.

Transferring files is as fast as any other USB 2.0 drive I've owned. I can't get the full potential of the FD yet since I don't have a USB 3.0 laptop or desktop.

It's mostly for school work and jumping files from one computer to another quickly.
