PhysBlocks - Alpha
« on: June 23, 2012, 10:12:30 am »

[SERVER BROWSER NOW IMPLIMENTED]

PC Download (v0.09)

Mac Download (v0.07)

PhysBlocks is the anticipated recreation of the original IronNoob classic; which can be seen above. With a new emphasis entirely on multiplayer play, the latest incarnation of PhysBlocks features superior graphical fidelity and a new shader-based anti-aliasing method.

Controls
Movement - W/A/S/D.
Place blocks - Left click.
Jump - Space.
Toggle delete tool - E.
Toggle anchor tool - R.
Toggle color tool - C.
Toggle spawn menu - Q.
Explosives - Right Click.
Select brick type - Page Up/Page Down. (Physics, static, light)
Pause - Escape. (you may have to open your start menu or alt-tab)

Note that movement may be reassigned; but the other keys may not.

Known Issues
Ranked in order of importance.
○ Sometimes, SEVERE latency occurs (potentially because of my currently-throttled internet connection).
○ Sometimes, players' blocks during severe latency will move erratically.
○ Potential issue with GTX 600 cards causing microstuttering-like frame drops despite a constant frame rate.
Screenshots

PhysBlocks Alpha v0.06 - Multiplayer Browser and More!

○ Other fixes that I don't remember.

PhysBlocks Alpha v0.07 - Massive Content Update!
○ Latency somewhat decreased.
○ Server browser issue fixed.
○ Images changed to a new style.

○ Other various fixes.

○ Rendering engine slightly improved.
○ Added names (based on your computer's username).
○ Added administrator tag (if you host the server, your name is green).
○ Recreated the player entity (by accident).

PhysBlocks Alpha v0.09 - The most massive update yet!
○ Set raycasting distance to fifteen units; you can no longer blow up things halfway across the map.
○ Added buttons to the server browser to automatically enter your IP.
○ Fixed shadow rendering: shadows no longer look like they are made of blocks!
○ Added custom motion blur shader.

○ Updated engine to Unity 3.5.6.

○ 2 GHz processor (dual-core would be best)
○ 1 GB of RAM

*thinks about putting a hd5450 in an old 2ghz dual with 1gb ram*

That graphics card is not THAT bad either, it can easily run ROBLOX at 25-30 FPS (right?) I mean my HD 4200 Integ can.

Don't think there will be Ti since it's a downclocked 670/680
