I find this sort of job a lot easier with C++, with libpng and all.
not as easy as using a language u already know
Take it as an opportunity to learn C++?

Why would you want to know a toy language?
Even if you say "Because of .NET", C# is better for .NET than VB.

If this is for ROBLOX just use Havemeat's ImgBrick.

Not sure if it's open source, if it was then you could find out how he did it.

I'm with Musty on this, C# is a way better and cleaner option than Visual Basic.

Same features, no ugly syntax. Easier to go from C# to C++ than VB to C++ also.

cant, tried being a smartass already and got a zero.
twice.

turned in some 21 cards game(blackjack i think) that i had coded some weeks ago, instead of coding a slightly diff version, and
turned in a terrain generator instead of a calculator program

two zeroes

Unfortunately, how it works is you have to make what they're asking you to make.

It's sad.

It's all about standards, not how well you can do yourself, but how well you can replicate.

Yep.

If the task tells you they want a calculator, they want a calculator. A terrain generater isn't a calculator.

This is practically basics...you do what is asked.

It's like someone asking for you to design their logo and you give them a car render instead.

that isnt why i do what i feel like doing. it is pretty stupid wasting time doing something that wont help you, versus actually learning something. my grade in the class doesnt matter, my gpa is already super low, so ill be going to community college either way.
rather learn and have knowledge with a low irrelevant and innacurate grade, than have high grades and know nothing whatsoever.

I'm not going to school and doing all that work to learn anything. Just pass it and get it over with. Only then will you be able to do what you really want to.

That's just how it works, the system.
